ClassicMenu Indicator v0.07 Released with New System Settings Menus

ClassicMenu Indicator version 0.07 has been released with the addition of three new system settings menus: Personal , Hardware and System . The bug that caused ClassicMenu Indicator to crash on invalid icons has also been fixed.

ClassicMenu Indicator is the indicator applet for Unity that behaves like a regular GNOME 2 Applications Menu.

You can install ClassicMenu Indicator version 0.07 in Ubuntu 12.04 , 11.10 and 11.04 via its official PPA by running following commands in  the terminal.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:diesch/testing

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install classicmenu-indicator

You can launch ClassicMenu indicator from the Unity Dash and click on it to have access to all the application menus.

In ClassicMenu Indicator version 0.07, the three new menus  (Personal , Hardware and System) provides you a one click access to all the components of System Settings.

Under Personal category ,components of System Settings like Appearance, Keyboard Layout , Language Support , Online Accounts , Screen and Ubuntu One are accessible.

Under Hardware category, components of System Settings like Additional Drives, Bluetooth, Clour , Displays, Keyboard, Mouse and Touchpad, Network, Power, Printing, Removable Media and Sound and Wcom Graphics Tablet are accessible.

Under System category , components of System Settings like , Backup, Software Sources, System Info, Time & Date , Universal Access and User Accounts are accessible.

    I like it… use it!
    Just a cosmetic thing though: the drop-lists appear on the left of the menu but the drop-list arrows appear on the right. Seems it might look better if the arrows where also on the left…
