Absinthe: Jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 on Linux
Absinthe is untethered jailbreak tool for iPhone 4S and iPad 2. With the release of Absinthe version 0.3 by Chronic Dev Team, the tool added support to jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 even under Linux platform.

Currently, Absinthe is available for Linux, Mac OS X and Windows.
Following are the requirements in order to Jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 on Linux.
- iPhone 4S with firmware 5.0/5.0.1
- iPad 2 with firmware 5.0/5.0.1
- libmobiledevice (A software library about the protocols to support iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices on Linux.)

Note that Ubuntu 10.10 and Ubuntu 10.04 users can install latest libmobiledevice from its PPA . Other Ubuntu users need to download the latest libmobiledevice from its official homepage.
ATTENTION: Make sure that you back up your iOS device before jailbreaking with Absinthe.
