Share Files Easily Over a Local Area Network in Ubuntu with NitroShare
NitroShare is easy to use and allows you to send files to another machine on the Local Area Network simply by dragging and dropping them on the share box. You can also use its app-indicator to send files to another machine on the Local Area Network.
You can install NitroShare in Ubuntu by running the following commands in the terminal
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:george-edison55/nitroshare
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nitroshare
Once installed, you can launch it from the Unity dash or menu. A Share Box appears on your Ubuntu desktop. You can simply drag and drop files in the share box to send them to another machine on the Local Area Netwok.
The app-indicator of NitroShare also contains options to send files to another machine on the Local Area Network.
Similarly, it also has Settings to configure settings of Nitroshare.
